यूके की ब्रिटिश सिख काउंसिल ने पंजाब के बच्चों को एजूकेशन माफिया से बचाने के लिए सूबे का पहला ब्रिटिश सिख स्कूल मंगलवार को खोला गया। अभी इस स्कूल की इमारत निर्माणाधीन हैं। यहां पर अभी नर्सरी से लेकर तीसरी क्लास तक ही कक्षाएं संचालित होगी।
ब्रिटिश सिख स्कूल के एमडी तरसेम सिंह देओल ने बताया कि यह स्कूल निरोल ब्रिटिश सिख काउंसिल(बीएससी) यूके की ओर संचालित हैं। करीब 3.5 एकड़ में फैले स्कूल में एक एकड़ में स्पोर्ट्स ग्राउंड और 2.5 एकड़ में शैक्षणिक इमारत हैं। सोसायटी के 11 सदस्य हैं। इनकी देखरेख में ही स्कूल संचालित होगा। उन्होंने बताया कि यहां दाखिला फीस, बिल्डिंग फंड और एजूकेशन टूर के अलावा किसी भी प्रकार का नहीं लिया जाएगा। इसका सारा खर्च बीएससी वहन करेगी।
यहां सीबीएसई पैटर्न से पढ़ाई होगी। यहीं नहीं, स्कूल आसपास के सरकारी स्कूलों के बच्चों को अपने खर्च पर स्मार्ट क्लास लगाकर उनका शैैक्षणिक विकास करने में मदद करेगी। इसका मकसद वहां के बच्चों को अपने स्कूल में लाना नहीं, बल्कि उनको शिक्षा के सही मार्गदर्शन देना होगा। वहीं सरकारी स्कूलों में बच्चों की बुनियादी जरूरतों को भी पूरा करने में पर्याप्त मदद करेंगी। इस मौके पर स्कूल प्रिंसिपल हरदीप कौर, जसनीत कौर, एनआरआई राजिंदर सिंह पुरेवाल, मक्ख सिंह, परमजीत सिंह, बापू गुरचरण सिंह और नारायण सिंह मौजूद रही।
First British Sikh school of the state opened in Kapurthala
The UK’s British Sikh Council on Tuesday opened the first British Sikh school in the state to protect Punjab’s children from the education mafia. This school building is currently under construction. Classes will be conducted here from nursery to third class only.
Tarsem Singh Deol, MD of the British Sikh School, said that the school is run by the Nirol British Sikh Council (BSC) UK. The school, spread over 3.5 acres, has sports grounds on one acre and educational buildings on 2.5 acres. The Society has 11 members. The school will be run under his supervision. He said that apart from admission fees, building fund and education tour, nothing will be taken here. The BSC will bear all its expenses.
CBSE pattern will be taught here. Not only this, the school will help the children of nearby government schools to develop their children by imposing smart classes at their expense. Its purpose will not be to bring the children there to their school, but to give them the right guidance of education. At the same time, government schools will also help in adequately meeting the basic needs of children. School principals Hardeep Kaur, Jasneet Kaur, NRI Rajinder Singh Purewal, Makkh Singh, Paramjit Singh, Bapu Gurcharan Singh and Narayan Singh were present on the occasion.
